It's great that when you can catch up with your family. Although I'm in KK, I still can meet my family :) Thanks to Belden who is my newborn cousin. Because of his fullmoon party, everyone was driving to KK and coincidentally I was there too! So here are some photos taken with my loved ones.

Been stop blogging for quite a period of time. I do have lots of stories to tell, but not now. I seriously don't like working life. My schedule is predictable everyday.

5/6am: Wake up

7.30am-5pm: Hospital

7.30pm: start doing my assignment

11.00pm: Sleep

NO LIFE!

Revisited My Elephant- A famous Thai cozy restaurant

Their decors make you feel like you're being home :)

Of course the mouth-watering food is the main attraction.

Inspired by X'mas. Looks like appetizer? Definitely not! It's a dish according to Ms. Yue.

Wonder how to eat this? Here it is.

Take a piece of leaf (don't know what kind of leaf is that). Put in all the ingredients and wrap it nicely with the piece of leaf.

Lastly, the sauce! Weird combination but it tastes good, doesn't really taste like raw leaf with greeny taste. The sauce is sweet and spicy and that's the click for this dish :)

Fried paku-pakis with belacan. I just can say it's the best belacan paku-pakis I'd ever tasted. It tasted exactly like the one I remembered since my first visit.

Seafood tomyam soup. Hot caution! It's spicy, hot and yet you just can't stop loving it!

Duck red curry. Highly recommended by the waiter. Yupe! It's real nice and I couldn't stop eating this the whole night haha. The texture of duck was just soft enough that you don't need to chew hard. Curry was fantastic with the santan.

Thai-style fried sotong. The only non-spicy dish in that evening :)

The sauce is sweet soya sauce.

Green curry. This one I don't prefer because the proportion of santan was a bit too heavy or green curry in fact is like that? I don't know. But if you're fancy of coconut milk, this is good because it's real rich in santan fragrance and taste.

Overview of the room. I can see air plane landing everyday from the window :)

Thanks to Aunt Anne for being so caring to prepare such a room for me. I'm just like a princess now :) and have the chance to get closer to my cousins whom I less hanging out with. God bless me! Hope I can sail through the 3 months smoothly.

P.S I'm sick now. The clarithromycin made me nausea and dizzy :S I want healthy body!!!

Tribute to MJ, "This is it"

A rare glimpse into the final days of MJ, the documentary is compiled from an estimated 80 hours of rehearsal and behind-the-scene footage of the legendary entertainer preparing for his 50 sold-out shows at London O2 Arena that were scheduled to commence in July 2009 before his untimely death in June at age 50.

Frankly speaking, I'm not a real big fan of MJ though I knew he's the king of pop since I was young. But I can still roughly sing a few phrases of his famous songs, this proves that his music still somewhat has caught my ears and heart. Other than that, I just think he's just a good dancer with his self-invented moonwalk.

However, not until I watch "This is it". It has totally change my perception on him and now I salute this legendary singer! Sincere. Deep from my heart. From the documentary, I just knew that he was the writer and composer of his own songs, he's so passionate of music, he knows music, he's humble, he's the guru of every people- from the background singer, the keyboard player, the guitarist to the dancers! When he sings, he tells us story with his graceful voice and dance. He can make you picture on what he's trying to convey. He's very determined, in every little part of his performance, even a little bit of mistake in the beat, he knows, he corrects you. He participates in everything for preparing his concert. I don't know what to describe him other than he loves music, he respects music and he lives music :)

Thanks to X'mas who pulled my butt off and forced me to watch with her. She's a BIG fan of MJ. If she never do so, I think I would miss a really great show and I'll regret. I would say "This is it": The greatest concert that never happened :( MJ, may you rest in peace and you'll not be forgotten. Your music shall live forever!

The girls were very patient in arranging all the stuffs on the table so that it looked nice. And after waiting for a decade for the photographer X'mas to snapshot all the food pictures, horray! We started our picnic, eating while chit chatting!

It's so disgusting, so I plan to put just a small view of it will do. You see it opened its mouth widely and my friends said it has teeth! Well, I didn't look at it again after i seeing it falling from top onto the table.

And so, here come the brave woman a.k.a. cicak woman to KILL this stupid thing.

Later on, we continued our makan session. Too bad, the mood was affected, we're somewhat became a bit silent after the frightening incidence . And me, definitely lost my appetite =.=! Goosebumps all over my arms & legs. Okay, then we finished our picnic by some photoshooting sessions.

NZN Freeze Frame Contest

Wonder why I disappear for quite a time? Here is the answer. I'd joined the New Zealand Natural Freeze Frame Contest and busy hunting for votes everyday! The prize for weekly winner was free 1 year supply of NZN ice-cream which sounds tempting, so the girls thought: Why not give it a try? And here we go.....

This is choice of ours for the contest.

SLOGAN: NZN ice-cream, always worth fighting for!

We really fight hard throughout the contest. All of the girls had tried their very best just for this. We stalked people online and asked them to vote for us, we begged friend to promote for us (lol not really like begging la.. all the friends are very helpful!) and we dragged in our family members too! and also fellow uni mates :) (don't look at us as if we're crazy fellow when we ask for your vote hehe). X'mas even got spam warning from facebook just because of this hahaha. But poorly, many people called off the votes 2 hours before the timeline! and so we lose :( NVM, we won friendship and lots of supporters through this!

Yuin's 23rd Birthday @ Rakuzen

We celebrated Chai Yuin's birthday at Rakuzen, a well-known Japanese cuisine @ Sri Hartamas Shopping Centre. We had encountered difficulties in finding the place because we didn't know the exact direction. So ended up I was honned by a few of inpatient Sri Hartamas drivers :S

Caterpillar rolls, avocado as the topping which crawled itself and disappeared for a moment. In which, the birthday girl was so curious where'd it gone because she didn't manage to taste 1 of it!

Hmm... Now you know why it's gone :) It turned into an unique birthday cake for the birthday girl! Creative isn't it? Not forget to mention the birthday card behind, credit to our card designer, X'mas Yue.

Too boring.. What to play? Yupe! Wasabi in one of the caterpillar roll, specially requested the sifu to stuck in a big scoop of wasabi into one of the caterpillar piece. So sorry Cindy had bad luck and chose the one with wasabi :( ewww.. it's so HOT!

Nom nom nom... started to eat......

And chit chat for about 3 hours in the restaurant, catching up with each other after separated for 2 weeks time. The restaurant was surrounded by all of our laughters and noise, ops, hope others don't mind. Later on, we went to dessert bar @ Mont Kiara and had our first ever midnight K session from 12am-4am! Woot~ Another new experience to be added into our friendship book :)

Frustrated

Things not going smooth like what I've expected. The powerpoint conversion screwed my presentation. I told myself to calm down, just finished and tried to explain everything that's available. Yes, I could complete it but it's just not nice. Yeah Jacq, calm down, it's all over, concentrate in the upcoming one, no point to look backward! I just prayed that lecturers would not have bad impression and penalized me for that *PRAY HARD*

Sense Cafe

A new spot to hang out which is located at Puchong IOI mall. This is also a delayed post. We went there during september. I found it out in Cath's profile. It's actually a cafe running by Redbox Karaoke. Ambiance is nice there, drinks are okay also, the credit goes to the surround system that provided for the singer. There're different singers in each day and usually it's boy girl couple team. Kelvin and Cath the couple is singing there on every Monday. Guy is talented, girl has a very sweet and powerful voice. Do support!

Hey big spender!

Hey BIG spender........ This song came into my head now because I'd spent a lot in just 2 days! OMG! I don't know what the heck is going with me, I usually have sufficient self-control. Maybe I knew that I'm not going to be in KL for the next 3 months, so I tend to spend more because in KK you might can't find such a price. East malaysia tends to have east malaysia price which is about 1 to 2 bucks difference. Anyway, my money has gone now. Just comforting myself saying I don't do shopping always so this is OKAY! Yeah Jacq, it's totally OKAY!

Update. I have 1 more collection for my CocaCola contour glass, a lime green one :) The colour is very sharp and sweet. I think it's even nicer than my favourite royal purple. I still missing the blue one :( went to ask, but blue was already all sold out!

and a mistake I've made in shopping today. I bought a dress which is the same pattern as one of the top @@ Luckily not both tops, or else I will bang the wall. It's weird to see 2 similar pattern of pieces in your wardrobe. Remind myself not to repeat it again.

About accommodation during stay in KK, today finally called up aunt Anne and confirmed with her. So no worries of anything during my hospital attachment now which I really thank God. Got stuffy nose and watery eyes today, time to get my cetirizine now. ONE last thing, gonna have my final thesis presentation on Tuesday, God must bless me for sailing through all the obstacles and make a good presentation *pray hard*.

Klang Bah Kut Teh

Seng Huat Bah Kut Teh, it's the most famous one in Klang as claimed by public. It's located just above a bridge. This post is rather late because I only managed to get the photos from friend today, we went there about 1 month ago. It's a real hard and tortured food-hunting activity. None of us know where is the shop, just being very brave, we drove there. Departed at 8.30 a.m. from Bukit Jalil, reached there almost 11 a.m.! (breakfast changed to brunch now) We lost our way, and we missed the junction to turn into the shop for 3 times! The roads in Klang are really misleading and very congested, we were forced to turn a very big round every time we missed the junction because all the roads were one-way direction. Anyway, despite the time, it was worthy to try the bah kut teh there. The soup is the kind that I prefer, which is more rich in taste (there are another kind in which the soup tastes less rich, we called 清汤). The Yaw Char Kuey was crispy even after you dipped into the soup, the pork was also good as if the essence of soup was all inside it (however, it came in a piece as shown, which made me feel a bit congested, I prefer the sliced into pieces one), also the pork intestines! It's my favourite, I know many people don't like internal organs, saying that it's dirty. Who cares as long as it tastes yummy! So, we enjoyed the pork meal that day, pushing our tummy capacity to the maximum limit. No more bah kut teh for a short period. Not forget to mention, we also lost our way during way back home. Thanks to the policemen and a uncle who's lorry driver :)

Quote of the trip: Seafood Kut Teh (inspired by Cindy Fow) I actually found out that really got seafood being used to cook with the herbal soup. But it's cooked together with pork, so it's pronounced as Seafood Bah Kut Teh. Cindy just missed out a word but brought a lot of laughters to the girls ;) XOXO

The road to be taken

Been involved in many decision-making thingy recently. And now I know how hard it is when choices are given to you, I just couldn't make up my mind at the very moment or when I had sort of decided, I would still have uncertainties, unsure and being not confident with my choice. So end up there's still no final decision. Now I realized how weak am I in this, I think I'm not afraid to make any decision frankly, it's the consequence and compromise behind the every decision that I'm taking which make me floating. In this period, family, friends & Vincent had given me very useful advice and support which I really appreciate all of them :) I'm glad that I still have people to count on when I am in trouble, I'm not alone after all. Thanks to dad who giving me freedom in choosing what I want, mentally & financially, thanks to aunt Jenny who becomes the middleman and reassure everything will be fine, thanks to aunt Anne who offering me to stay with them, thanks to Vincent for helping me to analyze every options that I've, lending me his ears and bear with my uncertainness, thanks to Grace, See San, Sanjin for understanding my condition and giving me space and time to make my own choice and lastly thanks to Ping gor gor for giving me his opinion. I guess I've found the road now, just go ahead, conquer any challenges and no turning back!

CocaCola Fever

Yupe, McD had launched the Coca-Cola contour glass collection few weeks ago. I wasn't interested at first until Vincent showed me his collection. Nice shape, nice logo, good quality and attractive colours. I currently have the green and purple one only because others I'm not so fancy. I actually want a blue one but too bad people grabbing it too fast, and I'd missed the chance. Who willing to give me one if they've extra? :) Purple is still my favourite so far. Can't believe myself involve in such a fever. I still remember when the snoopy's collection introduced by McD, I used to say those people crazy one. Now I know why they're crazy over it hehe. You'll do anything for the things that you want it so badly!

Kite Flying

Had spent almost 10 days in Kuala Terengganu last week. As usual, everyday just eat, sleep, online, but there's another newly-add activity- the beach! We went to the beach almost everyday because there's beach just few steps away from Vincent's place. First day, we enjoyed flying kite at the beach, and it's our first time. Surprisingly Vincent could handle the kite kinda well I think, because the kite seemed falling downwards every time when it's my turn to control it. We're being very greedy and wanted our kite to fly the highest among others and so we bought a few rolls of 'benang' and did the extension ourselves.

Other than that, there were horses provided at the beach for public to ride on them (of course you have to pay). The malay guy who talked to us claimed that riding the horse can actually increase libido and therefore fertility. He was telling to Vincent about that, so I was wondering is Vincent looked that weak? LOL... Unfortunately we couldn't take any picture with the horses because we're not paying for a ride, perhaps during my next visit I'll. We got the chance to touch the horse, one word to describe: FIT! When I touch the horse's body, I could feel the muscle of it, firm and tight! and when it ran, it's just gorgeous :)

In the later days, we just went to the beach, soaking our legs into the salty water, kicking the waves, jumping over waves, getting wet and so forth. This is how we spend quality time together. Another great experience in kayteeeee. Hope the next visit, I'll be able to have island hoping: Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Kapas etc......

In pain

It's been a miserable day, till now. Got my monthly visit pain waking up in the morning. I was forced to break my promise for a gathering with friends. However, someone apparently didn't look happy with my decision and showed me black face from the moment I said I couldn't go. Yeah, i know he's unhappy because he had to attend alone but why he can't be more considerate? He's still mumbling while he's changing and I was still lying on the bed. Small little thing like this can always ends up with argument which I already giving up in explaining or trying to fix it. Sometimes, I just feel that I want to let go, let me be alone for a while, I'm just too tired of all of these. When I have recharged fully, I'll be the happy me again. I bet the 4 months time comes at a right time ;) Things just go unexpectedly good! Stay positive, self-reminder**

Chi Kut Teh

It's not the first time I cook this kind of herbal soup, just that I used chicken this time. Frankly, bah kut teh is way more tasty than chi kut teh. Chicken is just not so perfect with these herbs. What to do? In Kuala Terengganu, it's hard to find pork, their pasar is all HALAL. Furthermore, today is kind of like Sunday, many shops were not opening. As usual, just bought a sachet of the bah kut teh pre-mixed, dumped everything into a pile of water then BOILED! The hardest part is the seasoning in the final step. I always use oyster sauce, soy sauce and black soy sauce for this part. Oyster sauce is the main one of course, for people like Vincent who are high risk in hypertension, soy sauce will satisfy his salty taste bud and lastly we know bah kut teh looks dark, so we need black soy sauce for this purpose.

Full Moon

It's mid-autumn festival today. It's a day that meant for family reunion, catching up with each other, having moon cake, drink chinese kind of tea, play lantern and enjoy the bright full moon night. It has been 3 years now, I never celebrate this special day with my family, worst still, I'm all alone this year. Seeing others who can get back to home or celebrate with loves one, YES, I'm jealous. It's a normal reaction being a normal human, so I don't think it's bad haha.

Anyway, today I'm a better person. I think I have totally relieved from what's bothering me the day before. I seem accepting all the things as they were. I don't have any hard feelings on it anymore. I know that I will just need to focus on what should I do next, how I handle them and how I live greatly from all those obstacles. *claps* I'm not so bad after all (giving credit to myself ;p)

Then, I at last got to eat Strawberry Cornetto Mcflurry which I craved since raya week! It really boosted up my endorphine level! Dessert is always my best friend when I am upset. I know that. But the calories which I headache of......... need to swim tomorrow =.=! What a dilemma...

Keith just went back today. Hope that he really can grow up after what I've talked to him all the while he's in KL. No matter what, he's still my brother, strong family bond between us which I will never dump him though I always threatening him, saying I will not care for him when he's an adult now Hahahaha.

So much that happened in a day. I am actually about to go Kuantan for the pharmacy trip but just an hour before departure time, my tummy started to feel funny and there's tumbling sound inside it. Got diarrhoea which I think I don't want to risk in the 4-hour long journey. So at last, I gave up the quiz. Thank God I didn't affect the team much, but feel really sorry to MS.

Then, a meeting at 2pm which I at first thought I couldn't attend, I can make it now. Hopefully it's a fruitful one. There're too many to complain but I choose to hold back first, don't let my anger takes away rational within me. I really speechless in the meeting. They kept saying sorry but nothing can be done for us. We are adult, we need to face all the things ourselves. I just felt really really helpless at the moment. Hospital Placement

Confirmed that I'll be placed in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu for 3 months (Dec-Feb).

Majority of the lecturers claimed that because we're from Sabah, so it's more convenient if we're back. However, the fact is NOT AT ALL. We tried die hard to tell them our conditions, about our air tickets which were booked long time ago etc, they just listen and forget. Yeah that's how considerate is the pharmacy practice team and the pharmacy dean. They said you could appeal after the posting is released. So what? We appeal, and what can they do? Swap with others who's in Klang valley? those people will hate us till dead! Only we east malaysians can understand ourselves. I just hope daddy's pocket can still be managed to support all of these. Everything starts from zero again. Just like when I first came to KL, no accomodation, no transport, no internet connection, etc. We really hope things go well. All that we can do now is accept, and I believe we can be a better and more flexible person after getting through all these. It's a real hard time, hope that we can sail through it *finger crossed*.

Nowadays, my little brainy is just not functioning that I could hardly come out with words for my blog. No inspiration, no photos, no special event, routine life have made my blog colourless. Despite that, I still want to jot down something here because life is so lifeless that this is the only place I can express. Since I'm not out of the house, I'm not meeting my friend, I hardly can talk alone at home. So, some important things I did today:

Surfed online boutique and spotted 2 pieces of pretty clothes. Been hesitating for a while, however I bought them lastly. Wasted RM 118. (oh my poor wallet! You'll need to starve again)
Saw a sling bag selling online more expensive than the one i saw in complex that day, so was thinking about to get it tomorrow. Estimated another RM 50 gone.
Couldn't stand the scar caused by allergy which i scratched so hard, decided to pay a visit to doctor tomorrow. Estimated another RM 15 gone.
Jun Yan had told me about the trip to Kuantan for the pharmacy quiz. Too bad we're only having a budget/ 2 stars hotel and need to travel for 4 hours. Thinking to skip it, too bad that I couldn't :(
At last I planned to meet up with my best buddy who back from US. It's deal ;) and we will be meeting up on thursday. Looking forward to it!
My stupid brother's handphone sucks. Couldn't get him through phone for almost an hour which made me worry like the world's gonna end. I swear I'll kill him if he never reply me before night. Luckily he did.
Realized that I have not been exercising for a week. Grabbed my swim wear, went to the pool and had a 40 mins non-stop swim for don't know how many laps. Refreshing!
Felt guilty not starting on thesis. Still lagging now.

My eye serum is estimated to be finished 1-2 months later. So I started to google around to do some surveys since I'm really really FREE (no further lab works until the cells grow). My eye bags and dark circles are really getting worst but I ain't rich, I can't just throw away the stuff I bought just because it's not EFFECTIVE. I think I've made mistake twice in choosing eye gel/serum/cream. Both brightening snow eye serum from Skinfood & brightening eye serum from Bodyshop are not working! My first eye gel, Bioessence, that I see some positive results. Anyway, now it's the time to hunt for a brand new one. My budget is limited, around 80-120 bucks perhaps. BUT, after I searched online, those products which have good review are all >RM 180 (T.T)

Back to a month ago, I received some compliments from friends on my healthy and shiny hair. They thought I must had put on some wax on my hair for that glossy-kind of appearance. Anyway, I didn't use any wax. I had been using JS haircare product for almost a year now. I only realised its effect when others commented. *so dumb am I* Below are the haircare product I'm using, I hope it will be useful.

First of all, we'll need a daily shampoo. I've chosen JS Exclusive Treatment Shampoo for Coloured, Perm & Damaged Hair because I regularly colour my hair once in a half year. It claims to contain moisturizers, protein and conditioners to restore the natural balance of the hair to give soft, shiny and moistured hair. It's also mild to minimize colour fading after each wash. I think it is effective in repairing damaged hair & moisturizing (my hair is not dry and no damaged end) but not so for lessen colour fading.

Then, after each wash, I will use JS Exclusive 60 seconds Carrot Soft Masque as substitute for hair conditioner. It contains keratin, proteins and carrot extracts to condition the hair from within and restore the hair to its fullest, healthiest and most beautiful state. It can be used on all hair types for immediate conditioning an detangling. This hair masque is really useful as it only require as short as 1 min for application, and I think that this is the thing that make the hair shiny and healthy ;)

Price-wise, it is affordable. I bought it at a haircare product shop near Wangsa Maju station and they always have this 'Buy 1 Free 1' promotion (shampoo+masque) at about RM 80. Price may vary but you can always negotiate with them. Each of the product contains 1000ml, for me the shampoo I can finish only after 6-8 months whereas the masque will be even longer, about 10-12 months. So, I guess it's kinda worthy for that.

So, after use you might get effect like this. *Bling Bling*

Having dilemma in choosing destination for our grad trip.

And finally we narrowed down to 3 choices:

1. Taiwan

2. Vietnam

3. China

Which I want? Taiwan, a country that I'm familiar with because of the languange, the culture & also the people. However, sw claimed that it's not as fun as what'd been shown in all the Taiwan show on tv. So........

Vietnam, a very interesting country, laid-back enough and low-budget. However, they speak alien language, their transportation is not convenient and food might not be matching our taste.

China, a very historical country which I wish to view with my own eyes of those magnificient places. However, x'mas is an anti-china fellow.

Ahh.. it's hard to meet everyone's favour. Anyway, we will come to a final decision on Monday. I better do more research online & pick the best choice for the trip!

Make-up for Lappie

My first notebook was about 3 years ago, which dad bought me before I entered university.

Without it, I might not be surviving outstation. It's my best entertainment source, from music, dramas to news, sports and entertainment shows! Of course, not forgetting it helps me in my portfolios, lab reports, PBL notes, proposal and now thesis. After all these years, this is how it looks like now........

Hmm... the paint is fading at the palmrest area... and also the cover.... (Yeah I know it looks like being abused by me) I admit that when i get frustrated or too excited when playing a game online, I will just smash it, pretty hard =.="

Anyway, despite the ugly appearance, it can still function properly, at least I'm still satisfy with the performance. Vincent's laptop at last broke down and he bought a new DELL. It's brand new & attractive with superb specs. The most important is it's cheaper than mine! Okay fine... I'm not going to jealous. So when we're shopping in the computer hardware shop in lowyat, I came across with the newly released product- laptop skin (it might be out there quite some time, but i only know till now). It's pretty convenient to apply to your lappie and costs 10 bucks only. So I said: why not give it a try? and here it is........

and yeah... this is the make-up for my lappie. Hope it likes the brand new look :)

Tips: Do not buy transparent one. It's really hard to apply if you're not skillfull enough. Bubbles are everywhere. Solid will be better & it's only recommended if your lappie is really old and awful. I definitely will not stick thing like tat if my laptop is brand new like Vincent's one.

Don't be scared! I'm not talking about my research thing of proposal this time. It's the recent shown love romance comedy- THE PROPOSAL. Though it'd been showing for quite some time, I only got to watch it yesterday with X'mas. I've heard so many good reviews from others and surprisingly it's really an extraordinary hilarious, romantic love story! *thumbs up*

"The Proposal", starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, a publishing executive (Bullock) forces her assistant (Reynolds) to marry her so she can avoid deportation back to Canada. Ryan Reynolds is damn cutie and he really attracted me in the movie (love him very much!) while Sandra Bullock, I think she's a bit old for Ryan. Nevertheless, she could hold the very feminist character in the movie. I was laughing my heart out throughout the movie (sorry for those people in the cinema), I just couldn't hold myself back from all those hilarious scenes. I love watching how innocent Andrew was when he's being forced to marry Margaret. I love watching Margaret, the cocky one, torturing Andrew and walked with her super high heels. I love to see Margeret was threatened by Andrew to kneel down and propose to him and a lot a lot more!!!

Received my aunt's SMS today. Updating me about my youngest cousin- Belle. She's now 3 years old plus and she can fit into Chloe's dress (my 2nd youngest cousin). All the dresses were made by Chloe's mom when she was young. And now these dresses are passed to little Belle. Look at those dresses, they're really cute and girly.

First, we must have cells in order to test the effectiveness of drugs. So, here is the flask of cells where we culture them. MDA-MB-468 cells are our favourite kid because they grow up very healthily, fast & not so fussy. The most headache cells are HCC because up to this moment, we are still short of them (they grow extremely slow). Some of them even died prematurely.

Next, before using the cells, we must check under microscope.

Check what? The shape and its confluency. If anything goes wrong,

we need to grow them AGAIN.

Okay, if everything is fine. Proceed to the next step.

All the tasks are done in this biosafety cabinet which claims to be sterile.

Only hands are allowed inside the cabinet.

After all the long & fussy steps, here come my final step.

In which you will see a variety of purple colour. The more purplish it's, the more cells are present, i.e. your drug is INEFFECTIVE.

So, we usually aim for light purple. We want the cells DIE!

See a trend from deep purple to light? Yeah my drug works! Happy in term of this is a new finding, sad because of more works have to be done in order to further reassure it's effective :S

Dilemma.

Lastly, analyzing the result using ELISA plate reader.

Where now results will be converted into a lots of numbers.

So, that's my routine for the entire semester.

3 working days in a week. Not more than 5 hours per day.

Great isn't it? I doubt. Aimless life I'm having now.

Merdeka Break

I have proposed Merdeka Break from the routine research lab work long ago.

I started to feel a bit of numb and boring with my lab works. Looking at the 96-well plates is really suffering and tiring. After 1 and a half month, our group has really improved a lot. We specialize in different tasks and nowadays we can use up just 3-4 hours to finish 1 session compared to 6-7 hours at the very beginning.

So, I must fully utilize these 10 days break!

The knowledge of watching horror movie

I went to the cinema few days ago for my second ever horror movie entitled "Drag Me to Hell". It has been showing up 1 month ago but due to overwhelmed transformer fever, the movie had been off-screen for a period of time. Anyway, I'd chosen the 4.00 p.m. slot for the movie and watched together with Vincent. I dare not to admit that I'm brave and have big gut, however, I'm daring enough to finish the whole movie. Here are some tips that will help you out throughout the whole movie:

Grab someone sitting next to you HARDLY. Turn your scare into action but not sound.
Always be prepared for a frightening scene if the movie gives you funny backkground music.
Discuss with the one next to you, guessing when will the funny thing pop out and scare you!
Turn your head around, watch the people, see their facial expression and SMILE on them. (This can make your concentration least)
Close your eyes when the important and exciting scene appears.
Take deep breathe after getting tachycardia.

Yeah, that's how I survive throughout "Drag Me to Hell". No doubt it is a real successful piece of work, but I guess I'll not go back for such movie in a short time. I was having adrenaline rush since the beginning of the movie. Give me beta-blocker!

Just to let you to catch up what I've been doing all these while. I am so lazy to blog recently for no reason, perhaps lack of inspiration and motivation.

So, currently I am busy preparing my research proposal which is a big headache for me. With my just-fair-enough english languange proficiency, I struggled quite some time in reading the informative yet sophiscated journals. And I also turning hard to rephrase all the sentences that I want to copy into my proposal (which is prohibited). Anyway, I managed to finish 95% on yesterday and now I'm busy looking for my supervisor who is MIA! Pray hard that he will be reappeared before the deadline.

Secondly, I am enjoying the time spending with Vincent. He has the longest break-ever in his 3-year medicine course, i.e. 1 month! Although holidays are plenty, I can't manage to travel around together with him because of all the lab trainings and

proposal. So, sorry dear. Anyway, we still enjoy hanging around at home, playing badminton, jogging, window-shopping, watching movie and food hunting :) I have the chance to brush up my cooking skill now, came up with a few new recipes such as salted vegetables tofu soup. It's really yummy!

Next, I was really bothered by my meaty body and yet I can't resist delicious food. I'm still thinking hard to find the best and most suitable solution here. Pray hard for this too!!! Currently was financially tighted because of overspent. So, restricted from shopping which made me depressed :( I got big dark eye circles and eye bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They make me look sick and OLD! Bodyshop eye gel is not working. Banned it! Gotta change as soon as I finish it.

7-hour concert

Just to remember another great record of mine. Singing continuously for 7 hours in Redbox for just 8++. Real worthy. I can actually still continue but a friend of mine Choon Hooi was craving for food, so sad that I couldn't make a even more GREAT record. Anyway, all of us had spent a great time having concert together. And I was able to duet a few songs with Cyril which usually I can't sing because of all-girl-outing. We'll have another one soon, i promise ;)

It's just less than a week to the beginning of my new semester and yet I still have uncompleted task. Feel so lazy and reluctantly to move my fingers and use my brain to complete the report though I know it will be a quite simple piece of work.

For some reasons, I feel that I should really feed myself with more and more pharmacy knowledge.

Just because of I've reached this stage and I ever had experience working in a pharmacy, I realized how important a pharmacist should well-equipped with not only drug knowledge, health problems but also health supplements including milk powder, body products and etc.

Just read Eunice's blog entitled random memory and she mentioned about stanley (my cute little dog which was missing few years ago). For a certain time, I actually had forgotten I ever had Stanley with me in my life. The same goes to Eunice. Suddenly, I really miss those time we spent together. Still remember we chatted on the phone every night before sleep for 2 hours although we met each other every day in school! Just like a couple talk. And I used to stay over at her house during weekends, her mommy fed us with lots of meals. I think we really need to catch up some day in future. I just finished this drama today. And what I can say is, this is real good! The plot is good that it gives you suspense and surprise in every episode, every momemt and every character. However, I think the ending is quite simple, in general we called cincai and didn't really show how those bad guys got their punishments etc. I like 邓翠雯 character and the way she acts in this. One of my favourite actress :)

I'd just finished all the dramas available in my hard disk, so I can now sit down properly and blog about this which I wanted to on the day of return to Tawau.

Wassup with this Airasia? I just want to express how unsatisfy I'm and disappointed with their service nowadays! A few incidences that happened recently had triggered and reached my threshold level and then now I exploded.

First and foremost, Airasia offered 1000000 free seats last month. And I was very excited and wanted to book the cheap air ticket for my chinese new year home trips. So, I waited on the night before until 12 a.m. sharp! Tadah~ NO FREE SEATS for that period. OKAY, that's fine I said. The air fare that time for return trips was about RM 300. The next day, when I checked online once again, it rised to about RM 350! Gosh! How could it increase in such a short period?! So darling said don't wait for it anymore, it'll only keep rising anyway. So both of us booked the slightly more expensive tickets (we thought). Few days later, when I was reading newspaper, MAS free seats promotion catched my eyes. Being very busy body, I went online and checked out MAS website, exactly the period that I'd booked my ticket few days ago (which is CNY period, peak period, holidays!). Guess what?! I saw RM 78 for RETURN TRIPS!! IS RM 78 RM 78 RM 78!! &*#^@^#&@^#&^@&#^ AIRASIA!

So, fine.. I learnt my lesson now. Next time I'll check out MAS website first no matter what.

Here come the 2nd incidence. A week before I was heading back to Tawau, I received a sms from Airasia. It said: Your flight has been re-timed to 2.55 p.m. Sorry for the inconvenience. I was quite happy when I received that, because the flight was rescheduled to earlier time! On the day itself, I rearranged my time and reached airport earlier to avoid traffic. Okay, the story comes now. I waited for 1 hour just to check-in!!! ONE HOUR!!! Looking at the slow motion and very low efficient worker made me REALLY frustrated! I wanted to scold that fellow but rational told me that I shouldn't. So, FINE! Later, while I was waiting on the boarding hall, an announcement made me even pissed. We're very regret to announce that your flight is expected to delay and reach LCCT at 3.30 p.m. ^&%#^&!@%#^%@^#%@&%#^@%#&@ AIRASIA!!!!!

Finally, the flight was departed at about 4 p.m.

So, I was out from house at 10 a.m. and reached home in Tawau at 8 p.m. THANKS A LOT to AIRASIA for training up my patience! And 1 more thing before I stop complaining, the purchasing activities going on in the flight are really irritating, especially if you're sitting away from the window. I was bang by the air-stewardess a few times and wake me from my nap. Perhaps they should go on further diet.

Okay, I think this is the longest post ever. Prove that I'm good in complaining. Keyboard down.

I came across 1 of my friend's blog yesterday, and I'd found out that she actually want to take a break off her blog. She claimed that blog is no longer a friend that she could tell everything to, because of it's a public blog now. So, I have a deep thought on this issue. Personal blog is actually a place to express your feeling, when you don't want to tell others about it, a place where you want to jot down no matter happiness or sadness and of course it's a quite appropriate medium to express your anger or frustration. Sometimes, we hope that someone would read our blog, to know what we're having in our mind; and yet it's a dilemma that you don't want anyone to read it, especially the one who's involved in your story! In a nut shell, there are pros and cons. I would choose to blog not everything in the blog, perhaps, I prefer to use an indirect way of expression.

This was the 2nd time I visited Jogoya, since 2 years ago. And what I can say? I was kinda disappointed with the quality of food there. Not up to my expectation, and it's poor compared to the first time I was here. Seafood were not fresh enough, the soft shell crab fried with over-oxidized oil, causing stink and weird taste. However, credit for the new kind of food that I've mentioned above. Anyway, I think I'll not come to a buffet in short time, buffet is just not my cup of tea. I was kinda sick after the overeating action HAHAHA. Thanks to vincent for the treat!

Everyone who knows me, should be have acknowledged that I'm one of Lee Hom's BIG fans!
He's just simply best in singing, very talented in composing songs and of course, he's so so charming with his appearance, height and the way he presented himself! (Yeah I know I sound crazy of him, why not?!)
I remembered that I've attracted by him since I was 12 years old!
And I wonder, if I could attend his live concert, seeing him in real person and of course, I want to have intimate contact with him *SHY*
Then, come to 7th of April, my childhood dream had come true!
I met him in person, got his signature and shake hand with him. His eyes are attractive, he took my breathe away when he looked into my eyes. He's REALLY REALLY handsome! That's the only phrase out of my mouth when I saw him.
Anyway, I was really excited getting to see my idol. However, I guess there will be no second time, because it's way too tiring. Squeezing with the people, all of us stick together due to the overwhelmed sweat and of course, there was a fight because of lining up. I'm a bit old now, i have to admit, lack of energy to do such crazy thing again.
Anyway, it's really a pleasure to see him, in my life :)

My 9-day attachment was officially end yesterday. Just want to jot down some feelings and memories during the attachment at Klang hospital.

Thanks to pharmacists there- friendly, smart and very helpful.
Thanks to patients there for letting me to clerk their case and disturb them every morning and afternoon for my case follow-up.
Thanks to the doctor for their 'great' handwriting in the bed head ticket.
Thanks to the nurse for clearing our doubts whenever we met troubles in ward.
Thanks to patient's family member for helping us to answer question on behalf of unconscious patient.
Thanks to my partner for working so hardly together with me.
Thanks to all my friends in the same group for bringing me so much laughter and fun.
Will miss the time during attachment: 1st task in every morning-clerk case, talk to patient & look at the professional doctor talking to his patient (who is really charming!)
Will miss the lunch time everyday- looking forward to makan at the nearest mall, chit-chat with the girls, and shopping!
Will miss the gossip time, discussion time, and time we spent together to complaint everything happened during the whole hospital attachment.

It's really a great experience and I feel that I still have a lot to learn! Learning is a life-long process, not only in this field but in every of them.

I was so upset of myself when I got sick on the 2nd day of hospital posting.
I reluctantly walked into the ward to clerk case because I didn't want to overwhelmed by different bacteria and virus inside the stuffy ward.
I reluctant to interview and talk to patient just to avoid air-borne transmission.
I was worn out on the 3rd day and engine broken down.
I wish I could be stronger, physically and mentally.
I wish to learn more and perform at the peak that I could.

I was extremely panic about my studies last night. The semester is gonna end soon, however I feel that there's so many which I've not learn and master enough. Palpitation strike me the whole time when i was taking my nap. And then I was knocked by him, who is a light of mine, my best panic medicine.

Me: I'm very afraid. I couldn't sleep at all.

Him: You should study constantly if you're afraid. This is the nature of human- when you're not ready, you'll start to panic!

Me: Yeah! I guess that's the problem. But I really can't sacrifice that much, and being so committed into it.

Him: Ahh.. you need not to study 24 hours per day, just take out a little bit of time, maybe 3 hours or perhaps 2 notes per night? If you do this routinely, then you'll be familiar with all the topics soon.

Me: *nodding my head, seems to agree with what he said*

Him: But make sure that you really committed in that 3 hours of time. No facebook, no sms, no msn!

Me: Yeah, I think I'll give it a try. Not too hard right? 3 hours only mahhh... :p

Got a chance to set up food stalls during the pharmacy bazaar. We all had a great time in showing our skill of promoting the goodies. No doubt, it's an activity that can fond the bonds between every of the batchmates. It's already semester 6 now. Time flies! Hopefully there is another bond-fonding activity soon ;)

Mom and dad use to say I'm a lazy bug because I did nothing at home. They assume that I do not know how to sweep and mop the floor, do not know how to cook a meal, etc. Conclusion, I'm not handy in doing house chores. But now, I'm proud to say: Mom, Dad, your daughter is extremely good in all of the housewife-to-do chores. From cleaning, tidying to cooking, I'm proud to say I can handle every of them. Maybe not the best, but it's definitely good.
I've trained myself all these years away from home, organizing my own washing, cooking and weekly house chores routine. And now, I shall say that I'm actually quite organized person. I've also discovered a habit of mine- I cannot stand with dirtiness and mess.

I was recently bothered by this matter. Some people can leave the kitchen with mess after using it without considering there is a next person need to use. There is still stain on the floor, sticky after mopping and sweeping. The whole bathroom was wet after every shower. No one willing to clear the dustbin as if they never throw waste into it. Reluctant to wipe the dining table after having their meals there. There are still a lot of unorganized act that I've seen lately. I really don't understand, why there are such people exist in the world :S

fish, tasted like flour instead. And the tartar sauce is tasteless for me also.
The only thing I love in this dish is the chips. Plenty, they served.

Roma Chicken Cutlet: Chicken Breast was served. Texture is a bit hard and not juicy.
The fresh arugula salad was way too RAW.

Chocolate Malt Cake: Texture similar to brownies but the choco is not that rich.
Not too sweet. Yummy :)

Cookies 'N' Cream: Sweet Indulgence :) Texture of the chocolate cookies square
is quite special. It's good combination anyway.

The couple was very full after the BIG meal.

Thanks to darling, the one who loves and cares me all these years, had given me such a great valentine. Although no surprise, no expensive gift and a big bouquet of roses, it's really great having you (flying all the way from Kuala Terengganu) with me during this day.
Next year valentine = 1st day of chinese new year, we'll go for chinese cuisine :)
TGI's food was actually okay only, and of course the BIG portion is worth for paying more than usual. Atmosphere is okay also. I think we will not choose here again for any occasion in future.

It's valentine here again. Everywhere seems to fill with love now.
Restaurant with their valentine's set menu, shopping complexes are filled with love decorations, even GSC has the couple set for movie!
We've already planned for our valentine this year :) Although is not a special plan, the meaning is the utmost important hehe.
Hope we will spend a great time then.

These 2 pictures had been posted up by one of my ex-classmate in facebook. Amazingly, this action brought all of us together again. Everyone is so busy to recognize and try to recall the name of the person in the picture! And so, the comments and email notifications by facebook were hacking my mailbox! Many of us wish to have a gathering again. But when??? I hope there will be a day for this, really. A day when all of us can meet up, and again we take our class photo- after more than a decade :)

Healthy Sandwich

I'd made tuna sandwiches for my brunch today. It's real delicious, simple and healthy. Of course, the most important that it's low in calories. :) So, here I write down the steps to make it.

Chunks/ Flakes of Tuna in water, mix with mayonnaise, diced big red onion, a pinch of salt and a little bit of pepper.
Salad vegetables (Butterhead lettuce etc) and tomatoes.
Spread some butter on the bread (wholemeal bread is recommended because it's healthier) and then the tuna and veges.
You can make as many layers as you want. :)

I'm sick after a hectic schedule for chinese new year in Tawau.
I feel a bit of stress because lots of assignments are waiting for me, class tests are starting off soon- which is the more scary one because I am still confused with all the pharmacokinetic models :S
What I can do, you can help me to do is PRAY HARD!
I still want good grade from this semester, better if there is improvement and upgrade of CPGA.
Again, pray hard, harder and hardest!
